There is this ghetto sign we drive past when going to the Jacksonville air port. One day Nate and I drove down the road to check it out.... Lynnwood Park Zoo.... We decided it would be a great place to take the kids, but wanted to check it out before we took them there... in case it was not what we thought. So.... yesterday afternoon Patrick, Mandi, Nate and I took an adventure!!! It was awesome!!We paid our $6.00 a person fee and walked into the zoo... you have to walk down a long path, and follow the map, until you come to the animals. They had a lot of really cool things to see!! Lots of big cats, a zebra, an owl, some wallabies, big exotic birds! It was great! We were the only ones there, because it was a Monday afternoon and a little rainy, but that worked out perfect. The guy who owns it caught up with us while we were exploring and took out some of the animals they don't have on display just yet! He had two HUGE lizards that were brought to him as rescue animals... one got burnt by his heat lamp and the other bit by a dog... both of them should be house pets anyways... but we got to hold them! He brought out a macaw that talked to us and let us feed a prairie dog... and just look at this turtle Mom!!!!

It was an awesome place... a little dirty and I felt bad for some of them, but after talking with the guy I felt better. He LOVES those animals and loves his job! He does a great job with them! It was a really fun day!(sorry for the millions of pictures! It was just so cool!)
