Saturday we braved the rain and went onto Shackleford Island to TRY and see some wild ponies. That is a day I wont forget! It was SOO cold and we were stuck on this island, stepping in horse poo, looking for something that my Mom owns three of!! but since we love her more than words can say we all walked around in search... we did not see any ponies until the very end as we were getting back of the ferry, but I did find some really neat shells!!

Monday we went to Emerald Isle and spent some time touring Fort Macon. Nate and I had been there before, but we knew my parents would think it was neat! On the way home we stopped at a go cart place and rode the bumper boats and Nate and my Dad raced in the go carts.

My parents left yesterday morning... we were sad to see the weekend come to a close... though I must say, it was nice to see my parents leave and not take me with them. Every other time they have been here, Nate has been deploying... or coming home from one. I love not having to think about deployments anymore.... but they left with a little present to keep us busy until we go home in July....WII FIT! One of our favorite things is our Nintendo Wii. Our video game system... it's an interactive game system and you have to move in order to make it work, no couch potatoes in our house... Wii Fit is the newest game for the Wii and it's quite a work out!
You have to stand on this pad....
and move your feet and body to make the game work....
you can't really tell in the picture, but Nate is downhill skiing... he has to move just like he would if he were really skiing... if he moves wrong or not at all his character falls down and he looses points. There are a ton of other things you can do with Wii Fit, such as Yoga, running, weight training and just silly games.... THANKS MOM AND DAD!
