Beach Babies and a Sleep Over

Nate and I went to the beach in our Stunna Shades this morning! It was beautiful out!! Not at all humid, nice and sunny! (now it's pouring outside... but whatever) We of course took Charlie... he played ball and swam around. The waves were cool, they were not big, but there was a lot of them! The tide was coming in and there were just non stop waves... it was neat.

We got to see a Sea Turtle nest! We have heard that in the summer on Onslow Beach they section off spots on the beach where Sea Turtle have laid eggs because people will sit on them by mistake, or dig them up on purpose and the Turtle are an endangered species. We have never been here for a summer so we have never gotten to see it... there honestly was not much to see.... just a wire cage around some sand... but there are babies in there!! We also have a house guest tonight... Miss Evie Haney is staying with us while her Mom and Dad go away for their first wedding anniversary. She is being a very good girl!! Charlie loves having someone to play with!

and lastly... Nate is packing... but this time it's for GOOD! He is going through and having me wash all his gear so he can turn it in. It makes me laugh at how clean everything has to be... the Marine Corps issue this gear, they make the guys train in it... take it to Iraq and on MEU's and want it back in PERFECT condition.... There are so many things about the Marines I will never understand....

well I thought the turtle nest was pretty cool... be sure to tell Charlie that his daddy is NOT leaving, you know how he can be when he sees packing going on....

Look at all that STUFF! Charlie must be a little nervous, thinking "Here we go...AGAIN!" He'll be relieved to see Nate come home, like your Mom said, keep telling him that Daddy's not leaving! Sounds like you guys had a great day at the beach! What a cool turtle's nest!Love, Deb
